CF Ocala campus presents student art exhibition March 25-April 30

OCALA, FL (Jan. 30, 2024) — The College of Central Florida presents “The 2024 CF Student Art Exhibition,” an annual event showcasing the talents of students from its Visual Arts and Digital Media programs. The exhibition will be on display Monday, March 25-Tuesday, April 30 at the CF Webber Gallery, 3001 S.W. College Road at the CF Ocala Campus.

CF receives $5 million commitment from Citrus County Hospital Board

OCALA, Fla. (Aug. 24, 2023) — The College of Central Florida has received a $5 million commitment from the Citrus County Hospital Board to support its Debbie Ressler Nursing Program. The college plans to use the funds to cover the costs of tuition for Citrus County residents who enroll in the Associate Degree in Nursing program as well as add additional nursing faculty members.

 

CF Appleton Museum of Art to open two new exhibitions in January

OCALA, Fla. (Dec. 14, 2022) — In January, the Appleton Museum of Art, College of Central Florida, will open two new exhibitions featuring artwork from the permanent collection.

In the Upper Preview Gallery, “The Shape of Things: Op Art and Geometric Abstraction” will be on view Jan. 14-April 9, 2023. Drawn from the permanent collection, this exhibition includes vibrant and visually fun paintings and prints.

Four fill CF trustee chairs

OCALA, Fla. (Aug. 29, 2022) — The College of Central Florida District Board of Trustees has three new and one continuing member, appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“We welcome our new board members and appreciate the service of our returning board member – all who have demonstrated commitment to our community,” said Dr. Jim Henningsen, CF president. “They have broad experience in workforce, health care, finance and more, and we look forward to their leadership in impacting our college, students and community.”

CF renames Citrus Campus after Florida Senate president

OCALA, Fla. (July 6, 2022) ­­— The College of Central Florida has honored Florida Senate President Wilton Simpson with the renaming of the Citrus Campus. The CF District Board of Trustees approved the renaming at its meeting today.
