WASHINGTON (Feb. 27, 2023) – As nearly 80% of hotels experience staffing shortages, hoteliers are offering potential hires a host of incentives to fill vacancies, according to a new survey of hoteliers conducted by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA).

* Small-business sales: Sales at small businesses declined in June from the previous month as high prices forced consumers to scale down spending on goods and services, according to a report by fintech company Fiserv. The decline in the small-business index trends with the burdening high living costs of households.
