'Operation Rotten Eggs' nets 35 arrests
During the past two days, just in time for Easter, members of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Tactical Impact Unit (TIU) conducted a covert operation to search for the ‘rotten eggs’ that have been involved in the sale and distribution of illicit narcotics in Citrus County.

Citrus County felon gets 10 years for possession of firearms, ammo
OCALA -- Senior U.S. District Judge John Antoon II has sentenced Robert Joseph Miller (46, Homosassa) to 10 years in federal prison for possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon and possession of unregistered National Firearms Act (NFA) firearms – sawed-off shotguns.
Missing Ocala couple found safe
The Marion County's Sheriff's office on Tuesday afternoon reported that an Ocala couple reported as missing have been found is safe.
The Citrus County and Marion County Sheriff's Offices were looking for the couple, who went on a trip to visit family but apparently never made it to their destination.

Traffic stop leads to drug bust in Homosassa
In the early morning hours on Friday, March 18, 2022, the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Tactical Impact Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of U.S. 19 and W. Yulee Dr. in Homosassa due to an expired registration.

Missing runaway female found
The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday night reported that 15-year-old juvenile female who was reported missing on March 14 has now been found.
Kellie Worrick was last seen at 11 p.m. on March 14 in the area of Crystal River.

On March 15, in the courtroom of the Honorable Judge Richard “Ric” Howard, a jury found 34-year-old Rapheal Malik Akbar Arnold of Oviedo guilty on one count of Capital Sexual Battery on a Child Under 12.
